CAEPIPE

CAEPIPE (kay-pipe), the first pipe stress analysis software on PC (1983), continues to be the preferred tool for static and dynamic stress analysis of piping systems of any complexity in any industry. With its world-acclaimed productivity-enhancing 3D modeler, CAEPIPE lets you analyze for the effects of weight, pressure, temperature, earthquake, time varying and harmonic loads.

CAD software

A 2D CAD program will be used to create the various piping designs. The students will use this tool in various modules. The course will not give a full 2D CAD course and only the basic intuitive functionality will be used. The CAD design will train the student to get a good understanding of technical drawings, the information and data on the drawing and how to create a drawing that can be used for fabrication.

Pipe Class Component

The PCC (Pipe Class Component) software from Red-Bag is used to create pipe classes and review dimensional information of the pipe components. The software can be used to make calculations for internal pressure as per ASME B31.1, B31.3, B31.8, EN13480 and others.

3D Design

The 3D piping design system is a software tool that is frequently used for building new plants but also for modifications. The current program that will be used for demonstration is PDMS. The course will only highlight the specific features relative to the actual piping design.
