PhD in Chemical Engineering by Imperial College of London in 1990. He has taught Fluid Mechanics in the Engineering and Architecture School of UZ since 1990. Before embarking in his Ph.D studies he taught Nuclear Physics and Technology for five years in the same school. He has participated in several European research projects, mainly in the field of Aerodynamics and is author of several papers in international research journals. His main area of interest is the development of numerical codes to solve the Navier Stokes equations in industrial configurations of interest. He considers himself as a theoretical engineer, being the theory a tool to understand the practical side. BLASCO, JAVIER

PhD in Physics (University of Zaragoza 2000). PhD excellence award (UZ 2000). MSc on Problem Based Learning (Aalborg University 2012). He has taught Fluid Mechanics in the Engineering and Architecture School of UZ since 1998. He has participated in several European research projects and is author of more than ten papers in international research journals. He regularly attends congresses and workshops and has stayed in different foreign universities. Since 2007 he is the head of an online postgraduate degree on piping in Spanish for graduate engineers. He has participated in several research projects funded by the European Union.

DOOLEY, ANTON

Senior Piping Designer
Currently working as the Lead Piping Designer on a mining & minerals project in Canada, Anton has over 20 years of piping design experience.Anton started work as a junior piping designer in 1991.
He is certified as a SPED Level IV Professional Piping Designer, from the Society of Piping Engineers & Designers in Houston. Anton has held lead roles in many companies in a career that has taken him to work in Ireland, the UK, France, Belgium, Australia, Singapore and Canada.
In his spare time, Anton runs a website dedicated to helping out fellow piping designers, called pipingdesigners.com.

Ivan Fernandez has a BSc in Industrial Engineering and an MSc in Engineering Design. He has more than 10 years of work experience, most of it dedicated to engineering projects for the Gas & Oil industry, Mining Industry and Energy Generation.
He has occupied positions in construction and engineering firms as Piping Engineer, Engineering Design Coordinator, Piping construction coordinator, Site Manager, Operations Manager. He also worked as independent consultant for engineering projects for Gas & Oil companies such as BG, REPSOL, YPFB and others. Currently works as project engineer at the Refinery of Santa Cruz de la Sierra Bolivia, owned and operated by a subsidiary of the Bolivian national Oil & Gas Company (YPFB Refinación S.A.).

GARCÍA-LOZANO, JAVIER

Lead Piping Engineer (INITEC, Tecnicas Reunidas)
Working as piping leader, stress analysis coordinator, stress analyst and supports designer during the last 10 years for EPC projects including upstream, LNG, refinery and combined cycle plants.
Currently working as Corporate Stress and Supports Manager in INITEC Plantas Industriales, Upstream and Natural Gas Division of TECNICAS REUNIDAS. Engineering degree with a MSc in Engineering at Polytechnic University of Madrid. Additionally, he has experience on site and has been involved as lead stress engineer during the cool down for different LNG Terminals, with expert knowledge in cryogenic piping systems and seismic analysis. Previously he has worked in other international companies as Foster Wheeler or SENER.

GHORBANI, ALIREZA

Lead Piping Engineer
Alireza has BSc in mechanical engineering. Currently, he is working as lead piping engineer of an oil refinery project in Iran. He started his work as a junior piping engineer in 1997 and, by the past 16 years, developed his experiences and knowledge in all piping jobs such as stress analysis, design, supporting, material requisition and TBE. Also he has site technical coordination experience. He is fluent or fully familiar with piping codes, standards, references and software. Alireza have adequate knowledge about equipments, Instrument devices requirements, Process description, PFD/ P&ID and safety requirements in offshore and onshore Plants.

Senior Technician (Técnicas Reunidas)
Senior Technician in Mechanical Project Development. He has been working as a Piping Designer for the last 6 years in Técnicas Reunidas, supervising different areas.
Additionally he has carried out the design of the main piping systems on petrochemical units and equipment layouts. His vast knowledge using the main design programs and his experience on site, working as area supervisor, has given to him a strong design overview and optimization in the pipeline distribution.

MARTÍN-ONDARZA, PEDRO

Returned to Enagas, a Spanish gas company and currently working in the developing and managing Projects execution of LNG projects and engaged in the development of international projects of the company.

He has been working for the last 7 years in Tecnicas Reunidas assuming the roles of I&C Technician, I&C Lead Engineer and Project Engineer on diverse International EPC Projects. Remarkable experience comprises the Engineering and Commissioning of different automation systems in Europe and Middle East (electrical compressors, gas turbines , turbocompressors, pumps and complete compressor stations for gas pipelines). He has wide expertise in Instrument & Sensor selection, PLC configuration, Machine Monitoring Systems and integration with Distributed Control Systems. Since 1998 has served as 3D Project Manager for all projects in PDS, SmartPlant3D, Catia, etc.

Piping Design Engineer
Bob Wilson is a practicing piping design engineer who is involved in static and dynamic stress analysis of piping systems.
For more than 40 years he has been involved with the drafting, design, stress analysis, layout, support and construction of piping systems, working with petrochemical, power, steel, mining & processing companies in North America, Australia, Europe, Middle East and South East Asia. Mr. Wilson is a member of the ASME B31.1 Power Piping Code Sub Group on Design.
He is a former engineering professor at Sheridan College in Canada and currently teaches piping design and engineering courses for ASME including ‘ASME B31.1 Power Piping Code’ and ‘Detail Engineering of Piping Systems’.
He is Author of a piping design book ‘Detail Engineering and Layout of Piping Systems’.
