Structure

The teaching program comprises a series of lectures (October to mid April) plus a comprehensive design project (mid April to begining of July) which will be presented in October.

Modules

The lecture program consists of 12 courses, all of them compulsory. Each course lasts for two weeks.

  4. Equipment
  5. Instrumentation
  6. CAD drafting 2D
  7. P&ID interpretation
  8. Plot plan and piping arrangement
  9. Isometric and material take off
  10. Mechanical, internal stress and flexibility analysis
  11. Pipe routing rules
  12. CAD systems 3D

Design project

In addition to the lecture program, the candidate carries out a design project for 12 weeks in teams of three students. Each team has a tutor who guides the students throughout the development of the project. Finally, this thesis is examined individually and orally in October in the presence of an external examiner.

Assessment

The final Master assessment is weighted equally between the assessed lecture courses and the design project.
